What goes on at a pageant?
Of course, before any pageant, the pageant contestants prepare by donning their various dresses, shoes, other clothing items, fake teeth, spray tans, and fixing their hair and makeup. Then, the actual pageant takes place. Different pageants have different sections, but usually there are four main sections. First, there is a personal interview category, during which pageant contestants are individually asked questions, and must answer with a well thought out answer. These questions can be about anything from world peace, to environmental issues, to other world issues. There is then a talent show section, where contestants can display any creative or unique abilities they have. These talents are usually the contestants' technical skills, stage appearance, and ability to perform with professionalism. Next comes the fitness category. Contestants on judged based on what kind of physical shape they look like they are in, and also what kinds of outfit choices they make. Lastly, the evening gown category of a competition is a chance for contestants to come off as sophisticated and show off their clothing choices. They are judged based on their gracefulness and elegance.
